Wilderness Safaris has opened a new six-tented camp in Akagera National Park in Rwanda, in partnership with the Rwanda Development Board and African Parks. Magashi is located on the north-eastern part of Akagera overlooking Lake Rwanyakazinga, home to one of Africa’s highest hippo densities. Guests can view a range of wildlife on expertly guided game drives, walks and boating trips. Rates start from US$650 (about A$938) per person, per night.
