Two new dazzling villas, The Writer and The Editor are now the stars of The Library, a stylish resort on the sun-kissed Chaweng Beach of Koh Samui.

Located on Thailand’s second biggest island, the beachside literary-themed resort features 46 studios, suites and pool villas.

Step through the heavy doors of The Writer villa and you can hear the waves lapping on the sand.

Designed by resort owner and book lover, Kasemtham Sornson, there’s an 8.5-metre-long saltwater pool and private outdoor cinema where you can watch movies under the stars.

The huge one-bedroom villa has a striking living and dining area with eclectic decor and glimmering chandelier. There’s a private outdoor gym, jacuzzi, barbecue area and upper terrace where you can watch bewitching golden sunsets streak the sky.

Bespoke furniture with pops of bright colour features throughout and there’s a vast

3.3 metre bed. The spacious

bathroom features tandem rain showers.

Interior designer Tirawan Songsawat opted for strong colour in The Editor villa where sheer red drapes surround an enormous bed. The chic villa has a saltwater pool, outdoor salus, jacuzzi and a reading room.

There’s plenty on offer at this resort where the ruby red pools with gold, red and orange tiles have become an Instagrammer’s dream.

Start the day with an indulgent Breakfast on the Beach tucked up on a white daybed.

Dining offerings also include the beachside restaurant, The Page that resurrects authentic old Thai kingdom recipes as well as Western dishes.

The Drink Gallery with its art-infused aesthetics serves tasty Thai tapas and skilled mixologists produce 40 thirst-quenching cocktails.

You will find white sculptured figures with book in hand dotted around the property and even in some pools.

But there’s definitely no need to take a book on this holiday, there are more than 1400 lining the shelves that guests can borrow.

It’s the perfect resort for a little page turning, sun indulgence, gourmet dining and great service.

start from A$550 per night.
