Silversea to launch Galapagos ship

Italian cruise company Silversea has released details of its new purpose-built Silver Origin – the cruise line’s first destination-specific ship to service passengers visiting the Galapagos Islands from winter 2020. The environmentally friendly, 100-passenger, all-suite Silver Origin will feature pioneering design. Shore excursions will be led by Silversea’s expedition team, who are certified by the National Park of the Galapagos, and offering the highest Zodiac ® -toguest ratio in the region. The lounge ‘Basecamp’ will connect with the ship’s Zodiac ® embarkation area, where guests will be able to interact with the onboard expedition team to learn more about the local wildlife and landscapes. Silver Origin will feature eight different suite categories, with all suites including the use of a private balcony.
