Hottest new properties to open in Australia and abroad

The long-awaited renovation of one of the world’s most celebrated hotels, Raffles Singapore, has now been unveiled, with the property officially re-opening in August. First opened in 1887, the Beach Road property features 115 individually designed suites. The restoration was led by acclaimed interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud, supported by Aedas, a leading global architecture and design firm. An enhanced suite experience has been introduced as well as new dining concepts throughout the hotel and Raffles Arcade. The famed Tiffin Room, part of Raffles Singapore’s history since 1892, will continue to celebrate the flavours of North India, introducing an interactive dining experience with tableside service by chefs. The wooden floorboards in the Tiffin Room have been reinstated to bring back features from the early 1900s based on research by the hotel’s heritage consultants. Rates start from SGD869 (about A$925) per room per night.
