Opening on 1 November, Aman Kyoto will be the third Aman property in Japan, located in a garden close to Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion). The 24-room resort draws on the country’s ryokan and onsen concepts to provide a contemporary Kyoto sanctuary surrounded by nature. The resort is in close proximity to the city’s 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The 32-hectare Aman Kyoto site comprises 29 hectares of permanent forest and three hectares of gardens. Rates start from A$1,386 per room, per night.
