Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the Andalusian coast, this is Anantara’s first property in Spain. It features three golf courses, an Anantara Spa, Club de Mar private beach club and numerous restaurants. Designed by British architect, Ed Gilbert, the property includes 132 guest rooms, suites and pool villas. The hotel is filled with more than 1,200 original artworks displayed throughout the grounds. Spain’s well-known 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant has a new outlet at the property; and Spanish, two-Michelin star chef Paco Roncero has recently launched his new concept restaurant, O by Paco Roncero. The Anantara Spa features 10 specialised treatment rooms, in addition to an extensive hydrotherapy circuit with dedicated rooms, a Hammam, aromatherapy steam rooms and relaxation areas. Rates start from €215 (about A$353) per room, per night.
