Opera by the water

La Traviata will showcase as 2020’s Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour, running between 27 March and 26 April (excluding Good Friday on 10 April). The opera will be performed in Italian with English and Simplified Chinese subtitles. Set against a scenic backdrop on the shores of Sydney Harbour, the Handa Opera event on Sydney Harbour 2020 will give visitors a memorable night of entertainment, premium dining options, impressive views and colourful fireworks. Fans of the 1980s movie Pretty Woman may recognise La Traviata as the opera which Richard Gere’s character Edward took Julia Roberts’ character Vivienne to see her very first show in her stunning red dress.
