Indigenous art finds a new home

Visitors to Uluru-Kata Tjuta seeking a cultural souvenir to take home have a tempting new venue to peruse. The Gallery of Central Australia at Ayers Rock Resort is a stunning shrine to more than 80 paintings by artists from the Red Centre and surrounds, encompassing parts of the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia. Wood carvings, or punu, by local Anangu people are also on show.
