Vital Impacts

Ami Vitale’s new non-profit, Vital Impacts, has been created to support groups that are protecting people, wildlife and habitats.

Its inaugural sale featured a selection of fine-art prints by photographers with a shared commitment to the environment including Nick Brandt, Jimmy Chin, Tamara Dean, Jane Goodall and Paul Nicklen.

Vital Impacts has already raised over US$500,000 (around AU$690,000) for conservation groups Big Life Foundation, Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots, Project Ranger and Sea Legacy, with 60 per cent going to the organisations and 40 per cent to the artists who are known for their commitment to the planet. vitalimpacts.org
