1. Aiden Darling Harbour (open):
Set in a 1930s building, the 88 rooms and public spaces are thoughtfully designed with bespoke artworks, including vibrant hand-painted murals of blooming native flora and an incredible 25-metre green wall, all by award-winning Australian artist-in-residence Jessica Le Clerec. There’s an all-Aussie beverage menu in the bar, and complimentary ebikes to explore the neighbourhood.
2. Kimpton Margot Sydney (open):
More Art Deco architecture awaits at the Kimpton, from the grand Scagliolapillared lobby evoking the spirit of the 1930s to bold patterns, plush furnishings and botanical displays. There are also almost 600 pieces of art to admire throughout. Head to the rooftop pool for sunset cocktail hour, then Luke’s Kitchen for a taste of chef Luke Mangan’s mod-Aus menu.
