Royal push for eco-travel
Sustainable travel just got a royal boost. The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has put his weight behind a new sustainable travel campaign, which he says will ensure local communities benefit from tourism and will also safeguard essential ecosystems. Travalyst is a non-profit headed by the Prince and made up of founding partners
Booking.com, Skyscanner, Trip.com Group, Tripadvisor, Visa, Google and Expedia Group. Prince Harry says: “As travel continues to come back, we have an opportunity and a need to redefine the industry – for better, for good.” The organisation will report on tourism sustainability and eventually supply scoring and indexing for travellers.
