Giovanni Armani Giorgio Rosso del Giorno 2017 (South Australia, $25)

A juicy, fruity and delicious red from a pair of forward-thinking South Australian winemakers. The duo create the labels with an Italian retro-feeling aesthetic.

Joshua Cooper Spring Pinot Noir 2017 (Victoria, $40)

One of Australia’s brightest young winemakers, Josh Cooper has crafted a delicate, flavoursome pinot noir. He engages printmaker Loique Allain to create labels.

Jauma Tikka Shiraz Grenache 2017 (McLaren Vale, $34)

For winemaker James Erskine, the imagination of his own children is the baseline for his wine label visage. The labels represent the freshfeeling and crunchy textured red blend.

Dr Ongo Pinot Noir 2017 (Tasmania, $58)

This is winemaker Peter Dredge’s preservativefree rendition of his Tasmania staple pinot noir — an elegant red of cherry-fuelled fruit character, fine tannins and brisk acidity. The striking label is an illustration by Massive Attack’s ‘3D’.

Frederick Stevenson Dry Red 2017 (Barossa Valley, $28)

Winemaker Steven Crawford has engaged younger artists to imagine his label designs. This fleshy, supple red has a label by Aussie Kate Shriner.
