Platinum Frequent Flyer member, Virgin Australia Ambassador and Supercars driver. What do you love about your job? The competition. Working with the mechanics and engineers in the weeks leading up to the race and then the on-track battle gets my heart racing. Where was the last place you flew to for business? I’ve just come back from a race at Laguna Seca which is situated in a little town called Monterey, two hours south of San Francisco. Laguna Seca has a famous series of corners that really drop in altitude and wind around like a corkscrew. How do you pass the time while you’re in the air? Apart from all the boring stuff like catching up on emails, I like to spend the time to have a quick reflection of my life and analyse if my short- and long-term goals are on track. What’s

your top travel tip? This year I found this awesome little retreat in Langkawi, Malaysia. If you love a challenge like me, there’s a 4000-stair climb to do there, which is awesome. Just wear long socks, as the leeches are brutal. What do you never travel without? My Bose headphones — every frequent flyer should have a good set of noise-cancelling headphones. Where

are you heading next? My next trip is back to the US in December, this time to the east side to check out the world’s best car wash systems. I have a passion for cars but also mechanical engineering. I currently run a state-ofthe-art tunnel car wash on the Gold Coast which I’m always striving to improve the quality of. My dream is to bring this service to a city near you.
