The most pres­ti­gious in­ter­na­tional shows known col­lec­tively as the “Big Four” fash­ion weeks draw fash­ion­istas, in­sid­ers and celebri­ties to New York, Lon­don, Mi­lan and Paris twice a year and have evolved into the most hotly an­tic­i­pated events in the so­cial, busi­ness, press and fash­ion cal­en­dars. Estab­lished in 1943, New York Fash­ion Week is de­scribed as “young, hip, di­verse” and is con­sid­ered to be the most ca­sual week. Though Lon­don has a shorter his­tory, it has be­come known for be­ing more ex­per­i­men­tal, open nd and edgy than its coun­ter­parts. As for the most glam­ourous, provoca­tive and dis­plays of ex­quis­ite crafts­man­ship, no one can beat Mi­lan with big names like Ver­sace and Dolce & Gab­bana. 世界四大時裝週在時尚界扮演著不同的角色,「紐約時裝週」一向以品牌風格趨向自然素雅而獨霸一方,不但充滿美國格調也融合了街頭文化;「英國時裝週」則以大膽前衛的設計展現品牌新潮,震撼人們的視覺。「米蘭時裝周」四大時裝周中崛起得最晚的一個,卻以新奇和精巧,在全球時裝設計領域中擁有極高的權威。

Ar­guably sav­ing the best til last, Paris Fash­ion Week is the un­de­ni­able pin­na­cle of the four and it’s easy to see why. Show­cas­ing some of the most im­por­tant fash­ion brands on the planet, PFW is all about lav­ish cel­e­bra­tions and this year Gucci is back in Paris to party!

MAKE UP - It’s all about in­di­vid­u­al­ity

Paris Fash­ion Week went all out when it came to Spring/sum­mer 2019 beauty, cham­pi­oning ev­ery­thing from tan­ger­ine hair and glossy skin to flashes of colour. Lu­cia Pica from Chanel, Peter Philips from Dior and Pat Mc­grath from Valentino are mas­ters at play­ing with colour, shade, and fin­ish­ing touches. Peter Philips de­fined a new world of beauty us­ing Glow Ad­dict for a truly un­for­get­table show where dance and fash­ion met, while Valentino’s look was de­scribed as “ex­trav­a­gant beauty”. The self-as­sur­ance shown by these ac­com­plished fash­ion houses is per­fectly in line with the no­tion of un­bri­dled con­fi­dence and lux­ury.

High Fash­ion Down to Earth

When it comes to chic ac­ces­sories, it’s all in the de­tails. Karl Lager­feld in­tro­duced bags as neck­wear. Clare Waight Keller's stel­lar crafts­man­ship for Givenchy was dis­played at its strong­est with unique shapes in the colour-blocked leather bag be­ing a stand out. From the magazine clutches at Ba­len­ci­aga, the shell bag at Chanel, Gucci’s Mickey bag, Louis Vuit­ton’s fly­ing saucer shape, and the beau­ti­ful bucket bag at Her­mes, this year’s new de­signs all aim to res­onate with the au­di­ence and bring them new realms of ex­cite­ment.

配合濃妝、淡妝或裸妝,都強調畫龍點睛的效果。香奈兒彩妝師Lu­cia Pica,在模特裸妝上點出鮮豔欲滴的朱唇注入新鮮與活力;Dior的 Peter Philips 在底妝上以簡單的舞動眼妝展現韻律和個性;Chloe模特的微煙燻眼妝與嫣紅朱唇呼應展現女性高冷氣質;Dries Van Noten 的模特眼皮上以一股極粗的線條顯現剛毅和中性美;Valenti­no彩妝以施洛華世奇水晶作為眼影,展現奢華,被評為「最奢侈的彩妝」。
