CONTRIBUTORS
TALI LENNOX
Tali Lennox is a model turned artist (and daughter of singer Annie) whose portrait of Hillary Clinton is featured in “Who runs the world?” on page 210. “I decided to leave the painting unfinished to signify the space left in the future,” Lennox says, confirming the political challenge she portrays in her work. “The potential damage that Trump’s actions could cause to human rights, freedom and peace is scary.”
MALI KOOPMAN
Based in New York, model Mali Koopman described working with the Vogue team as a “dream come true for any Australian model”. Mali came home for the shoot “Park life”, on page 182, in between travelling the world for international designers. “My most treasured career highlight was walking for Chanel with Karl [Lagerfeld] in Cuba,” she says.
KATRINA ISRAEL
London-based writer Katrina Israel contributed to our jewellery bijoux special from page 98. Attending the Paris high jewellery presentations was a delight for Israel, who described each event as “a treasure trove of incredible craftsmanship”.
ETIENNE AND XAVIER ALBERT
Twins Xavier and Etienne are the adorable models featured in “Park life” on page 182. The seven-year-old boys say the highlight from the Vogue shoot was having the opportunity to work with Mali Koopman. Xavier (right) said his hope for the future is “to be an artist”, while Etienne would prefer “a career in modelling or photography”. What better work experience than featuring in a Vogue fashion shoot!
EMMA-KATE SYMONS
Washington-based journalist Emma-Kate Symons wrote “Who runs the world?” on page 210. Her hope for the future is that: “American women enjoy better lives, on par with their Australian sisters: paid maternity and sick leave, higher minimum wages and childcare assistance.”
