The first one we ever played, we were kids, so that was special. The time we played when Midnight Oil was inducted into the Hall of Fame was pretty amazing. The most magical one was when we won for Diorama in 2002. We’d had kind of a tumultuous year, I’d had lot of health stuff going on, and we were really proud of the record. Winning an ARIA is never the main objective, but it definitely feels good; it validates. For a lot of people, that’s a year or two years’ work, maybe more. And to win an award for it, as materialistic as it is, it feels nice to have something physical to show for it all.”
