Best Female Artist 1992; Best Cover Art 1994 “Post accepting the ARIA [for Best Female Artist] on stage, I was ushered to where the journalists were all gathered and asked how I felt about beating Kylie to the award. I responded by questioning the validity of comparing genders instead of genres, particularly as we were exponents in such different areas of music. To underline the point, I did mention the word vagina, which elicited a sharp intake of breath from some in the room. It was a cheap shot but I still remember it fondly.”
