As Vogue’s acting bookings editor, Melbournian Emma Proudfoot has seen all the highs that working in fashion can bring. As part of this month’s mammoth cover shoot, Proudfoot shares what it was like to visit the Akech Bior family at home. “It was so special how they welcomed us into their home wholeheartedly and let us take over!” For Proudfoot, the most memorable moment from the day was seeing Adut modelling in her former high school. “Adut strutting down her old school corridor in couture, Vogue crew in tow, was a definite highlight.” And as for the insights she’s gained during her stint organising shoots for Vogue: “Everyone works so hard to pull off the impossible; it’s been inspiring to work with such driven and dedicated women (and a couple of men!).”
