It’s on the wind: seaside elegance is feeling de rigueur once again. Stiff uniforms might not be an obvious point of style inspiration but just look again … those burnished buttons, the so-polished-they’re-reflective shoes, dazzling plimsoll whites. In our own wardrobes it’s a good touch looser – think about diffusing the regimental navy starch with the mellowness of a warm summer breeze. It’s the mood and the attitude: crisp, smart, transcending trends but with an offhandedness that reads hot beach deck on a glorious day. Oh, and don’t be scared to show some skin. Arms and abs ahoy!
