WINE & DINE

-

The Penfolds Magill Estate Cellar Door served as the ultimate setting to usher in the beginning of Vogue Codes 2019, as well as the launch of Penfolds’s Tribute range to celebrate the company’s 175th anniversary. Nestled in the Mounty Lofty Ranges, east of Adelaide, the venue hosted the first Vogue Codes Visionary Dinner, a four-course, wine-matched feast that championed The Commander in Chief – a 2017 shiraz cabernet from the Tribute range and a special wine honouring Penfolds founder Mary Penfold. Celebrating South Australian women in STEM and female entrepreneurs, the guest list included Vogue Codes speakers Dr Michelle Perugini, Alex Moss, Louise Nobes and Jenny Paradiso, as well as local designers Paul Vasileff of Paolo Sebastian and Julia Ritorto and Kathryn Forth of Acler. To begin the night’s festivities, Vogue editor-in-chief Edwina McCann welcomed guests before moderating a Q&A with panellists Perugini and Penfolds senior winemaker Stephanie Dutton.
