“I grew up surrounded by fashion photography and very minimalist architecture. Our family home in Paris was designed by architect David Chipperfield, who has a very minimal and sleek aesthetic. I think it defined my style. Less is more: from my wardrobe to my apartment [and even] my way of thinking.”

“I design with a bit of a selfish point of view, creating pieces I’ve always wanted to own but can’t find … The everyday woman was my inspiration for this collaboration with the Outnet’s in-house label Iris & Ink and the styles also reflect different areas of my personality. I wear a lot of black and a lot of dresses.”

“Catherine Deneuve’s style in Belle de Jour. Most of her outfits were designed by Yves Saint Laurent. The mix of the classic bourgeois aesthetic, both mixed and clashing with a patent leather coat; it definitely affected my personal style.”

“The poems of Arthur Rimbaud.”

“I also love the aesthetic and drawings of Jean Cocteau. Simple, minimal lines. Romantic.”

“The perfect party piece is finding the right pair of heels that don’t hurt your feet so you can dance all night long.”

“[I admire] the uniqueness of David Bowie and his music. It can be uplifting as well as dreamy and melancholic, but I also love that he was such a chameleon. He had an ability to change his looks all the time; he was one of the first to do that. I think I’m even more impressed because it’s something I am unable to do.”

“I was always more into rock, especially Brit pop in the 90s. Funny fact: I’m now dating the lead singer of my favourite band back then [Tim Wheeler of Ash]. Music has always had a big influence on my mood and style. As a teen, I was inspired by Shirley Manson from Garbage. I also love Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks.”

“The great outdoors makes me dream and I am not scared of going far away. I spent last New Year’s holidays road-tripping around the Gold Coast area of Australia. Now I’m dreaming of going to Alaska and Iceland.”
