FORWARD VISION

-

Ahead of International Day of the Girl on October 11, Vogue Australia co-hosted a breakfast with World Vision to raise awareness of the adversities faced by young girls in poverty and to promote positive change. This year’s initiative – The 1000 Girls Movement – aims to empower 1,000 women to sponsor 1,000 girls. Alongside Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann and World Vision Australia CEO Claire Rogers, ambassadors Samantha Harris, Jessica Gomes and Melissa Doyle joined a panel discussion. The session highlighted the discrepancies between girls and boys in poverty-stricken countries as well as the aid provided by World Vision to Indigenous Australian communities.
