BEST ON GROUND
READY? GET SET … THE NEW LUXURY BEAUTY AND DESIGNER ACCESSORIES FLOOR IS OPENING AT THE DAVID JONES ELIZABETH STREET STORE ON DECEMBER 11.
Complementing the recent launch of the Australian and International Designer Womenswear Floor on level three and the Designer Shoe Floor on level seven, the ground floor of the David Jones Elizabeth Street store is set to become a go-to destination for a curated collection of the best beauty products and accessories.
As well as being the only place in the country stocking some of the world’s most sought-after beauty products, the Elizabeth Street store will be the exclusive home to La Mer’s first dedicated facial room, a Tom Ford counter where you can try on lipsticks using a virtual screen, a luxurious La Prairie beauty room and Rationale’s first service room and counter in a store outside their own. Other in-store services include everything from eyelash extensions, threading and O.P.I. manicures to skincare treatments with brands such as Sisley, Ultraceuticals, Ella Baché and Dermalogica. The cost of many of the in-store services is redeemable on products, which basically makes following up a pampering session with a takehome treat the only sensible option. Topping it all off, shoppers will be able to browse concept spaces for designer accessories from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Loewe, Fendi and Piaget.
Things of beauty
Good news for everyone who’s been yearning to get their hands on one of the most highly anticipated beauty launches of the year: lipsticks from the new Gucci Makeup range will be available from David Jones online from November 24, and from December 11, they’ll be available in the Elizabeth Street store along with Gucci’s new The Luxury Collection: The Alchemist’s Garden fragrance range. Gucci Makeup will join the department store’s impressive stable of international beauty brands, including Chanel, La Prairie, La Mer, Dior, Guerlain, Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani and Bottega Veneta. “We are very proud to be introducing Gucci Makeup to our collection of innovative beauty brands at David Jones,” says general manager of beauty, Rachel Duffy-Packer. “Gucci is an international benchmark for luxury, celebrating self-expression and transporting customers with its visionary collections.”
