CHANEL LE VERNIS NAIL COLOUR IN ROUGE NOIR
Sure, Chanel has a rollcall of beauty products that warrant hero status (you may have heard of Chanel No 5) but it’s the immediate and continued success of Rouge Noir that cements its significance. Curiously, the colour came to fruition by chance when it was created by mixing red and black nail polish first on a shoot and then backstage at the 1994 Chanel show. The hue became a major post-show talking point and fuelled a love affair that continues to this day.
