Gallerist Roslyn Oxley is a dinner companion and supporter, recently lending her Darling Point home, Carthona, to the label for their resort ’17 show. AP & LS: “Roslyn, we were talking to a friend recently about the staircase in the [Roslyn Oxley] gallery and all the iconic work that has come up those stairs over the years. In your history of the gallery, what was the most exciting installation?” RO: “Installations are all so diverse – as diverse as all the artists we show. It’s really hard to say which one has been my favourite because they’ve all been so different.

“This current show, by Isaac Julien, is amazing and glamorous – the whole gallery looks incredible. Del Kathryn Barton’s show earlier this year was stunning in a different way: there was an incredible amount of great work, it was almost like three shows in one. But really, each exhibition has been excitinge in its own way. Dale Frank’s shows are always a huge pleasure to see coming up the stairs.

“Every artist puts so much into the exhibitions, we all work really hard towards putting up a good show – honestly, I think it’s impossible to pick one that stands out above the others.”
