We are the result of our influences, or so it is true of dynamic design pairing Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales, whose effervescent Romance Was Born celebrates more than 10 years drawing on their dazzling muses and friends.

Romance Was Born celebrates more than 10 years of drawing on muses and friends.

In a beautiful collision of two creative forces, artist and forever-ally Del Kathryn Barton has continually collaborated with the label, after working on the duo’s first three collections. Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales: “Del! We know you love fashion as much as we do. What is it about clothing and style that you enjoy so much?” DKB: “Darlings! Where to begin? Fashion as big time colour obsession! I am passionate about the history, artistry, innovation and sheer sexy potential of diverse fabrics. I believe fashion throughout the ages reflects some of the most vibrant, extreme, gorgeous manifestations of human expression and experience. I love the realisation and journey of getting dressed as a bubbling up of all people’s creative selves; one’s capacity to design and curate the surface of one’s body as we pass through life. Fashion as serious playtime! Fashion as sexy times! Fashion as armour! Fashion as sheer awesomeness! Just like you beauties.”
