Tight knit

VOGUE Australia - - VIEWPOINT - STYLING KAILA MATTHEWS PHOTOGRAPH DUNCAN KILLICK Alice Birrell

Remember that old Coogi sweater? Well, it’s transformed into a kicky box print. The new knits aren’t interested in sitting pretty: they’re for moving, doing and bringing to life the new-season pieces. Full of energy, they cast aside any links to grandpa’s chunky Arans and instead are electric-bright, lean and slinky. Who says? Prada does, and Chanel and Burberry, which wove a technicoloured vision in graphic knits so bright they practically hum. Get in on the buzz.

Left: Kid wears a Prada knitted top, $1,590, and hat, $550. Acne jeans, $500. Centre: Ruby wears a Chanel dress, $3,960, from the Chanel boutiques. Dinosaur Designs earrings, $120. Right: Magson wears a Burberry sweater, $1,020, and pants, $1,080.
