When Nicole Kidman’s production company snapped up the film and television rights to author Liane Moriarty’s new book Nine Perfect Strangers before it was even released, the author knew she was on to a good thing. “I was thrilled!” Moriarty says. Sharing the first extract of the novel in this issue, Moriarty gives us a glimpse into the world she’s created for what is sure to be another of her best-selling books. “It’s the story of nine perfect strangers who meet at a remote boutique health resort where they are taking part in a 10-day retreat. They’re hoping for weight loss and stress relief, mindfulness and meditation, but it ends up a rather different experience than what they imagined.”
