Even a photographer as experienced as Bibi Cornejo Borthwick felt nervous meeting Victoria Beckham, but says her anxiety was quickly put to rest. “I was slightly nervous for the day, but Victoria was beyond kind. She was a real collaborator, so it made the shoot really enjoyable for me,” she says. “I appreciate when my subject wants to be involved in the process, because ultimately it becomes something we create together. For me, that’s the magic in what we do.” Cornejo Borthwick won’t share the moments she and Beckham found funniest – “I have a feeling I should keep those to myself!” – but does say that the designer is one of her inspirations. “It’s inspiring to be around women who are able to successfully do more than one thing and do it wholeheartedly.”
