Lauded fashion editor Tim Blanks spoke with Victoria Beckham for this cover story from page 146, recounting her adventurous style and self-deprecating wit – something he sees as one of her most positive attributes. “The best thing about talking to Victoria is always her sly sense of humour, which is often at her own expense,” he says. “I won’t spoil the moment that made me laugh the most, I’ll save that for the piece, but I did enjoy her anecdotes about the Spice Girls’ trip to Oz.” Revealing why he admires the designer, who celebrated 10 years in the fashion industry this September, Blanks pins it down to Beckham’s attitude: “I admire Victoria because of her fearlessness in the face of people’s preconceptions. That’s why she’s made such a success of her business.”
