THE BIG EVENT
The celebrations were bigger than ever before at this year’s Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out.
Melbourne
In partnership with the City of Melbourne, Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out (VAEFNO) returned to the streets of the CBD for one day and night on August 31. For the first time, the event kicked off at 10am to give shoppers even more time to enjoy the huge array of offers and activities. The theme of this year’s event was iridescent, and the extra shine was just one of the many highlights.
AMERICAN EXPRESS
American Express partnered with Vogue Australia once again for a night of premium shopping, giveaways and offers. The luxe American Express lounge was open in Bourke Street Mall, providing American Express Card Members with an exclusive spot to relax and enjoy drinks and sweet treats.
GORDON’S PREMIUM PINK GIN
With Gordon’s Premium Pink and Soda cocktails in hand, fashionistas caught a preview of new-season spring racing styles at the Gordon’s Premium Pink Gin runway.
DAVID JONES
The David Jones Bourke Street Mall stores were buzzing, with countless shopping offers,
samples, mini-makeovers, refreshments and treats available. Editors from Vogue, influencers and celebrities including Jessica Gomes also stopped by to get in on the action.
OLAY
Instagrammers and beauty enthusiasts flocked to the Vogue Beauty Hub en masse to snap pictures by the Olay flower wall and to pick up a free sample of the new anti-ageing Olay Magnemasks.
CAROLINA HERRERA
Also at the Vogue Beauty Hub, the Carolina Herrera team was giving out samples of the new Good Girl fragrance. The scent is a heady mix of tuberose and jasmine sambac, with notes of tonka beans and cocoa.
ESTÉE LAUDER
To keep event-goers looking their best long after VAEFNO wrapped up, Estée Lauder provided a free 10-day supply of its Double Wear foundation to those who stopped by the Vogue Beauty Hub.
BASSIKE
Bassike again teamed with Vogue to create the official VAEFNO T-shirts that were snapped up by event VIPs and those in the know. This year, the T-shirt was available in grey marle and pink.
SOFITEL MELBOURNE ON COLLINS
The Sofitel Melbourne on Collins hotel provided a sumptuous setting to enjoy a delicious Vogue cocktail or two. Voguettes chose from the ginbased Off Duty, the sweet Think Pink Gin Rocks, and the Extra, which combined lemon and egg white with Ketel One Citroen and Lillet Blanc, finished with a garnish of mandarin pearls and white chocolate.
MUSIC ARTISTS
Electropop performer Starley took to the Bourke Street stage to open the event, followed by breaking talents Jordie Ireland, Ava Hayz and Kota Banks, who performed as part of the American Express Music Backers Grant Program.
