1 CHÂTEAU LA COSTE

The Tadao Ando-de­signed main build­ing and art cen­tre at this win­ery is the start­ing point for an art and ar­chi­tec­ture walk tour­ing the works and struc­tures scat­tered around the es­tate.

2 LA COLOMBE D’OR

This bou­tique ho­tel was a pop­u­lar des­ti­na­tion for artists like Henri Matisse, Joan Miró and Marc Cha­gall, who ex­changed their art for food and ac­com­mo­da­tion – their works are still on dis­play.

3 SAINT-PAUL DE VENCE CEME­TERY

The tomb­stone of Rus­sian-French artist Marc Cha­gall can be found at the town’s pic­turesque ceme­tery, dec­o­rated with stones by vis­i­tors to the grave­yard.

4 CHAPELLE DU ROSAIRE DE VENCE

De­signed by Henri Matisse, who lived in the area, this small Catholic chapel dat­ing from the early 1950s fea­tures stun­ning stained-glass pan­els and mu­rals by the artist.
