Milanese architect Alessandro Giudici custom designed his own kitchen using local materials. The patiently restored walls show the original hand-stencilled designs on its surface that date from the late 19th century. This standout feature is elegantly highlighted by the otherwise dark elements in the room, such as the wooden floor and black lamps. The spare and minimalist decorations include items he has picked up on his travels in Japan and Morocco, adding a personal touch to the kitchen. The benchtops are made from coloured concrete, which was poured and smoothed on site while the kitchen cabinets are custom made in wood and completely clad with bronzed-brass shutters.
