1. BACKGAMMON I love playing with friends and family. 2. JAC + JACK SCARF I spend a lot of time on planes and have learned it’s the littlest things that make f lying tolerable. My latest favourite is my all-cashmere scarf by Jac + Jack. 3. SAILING In the summer, I love sailing with friends and family around the Santa Monica Bay and up and down the southern California coast. It’s a very relaxing pastime and forces you to shut off, unplug and enjoy the beauty of nature. 4. CRYSTALS I love crystals. I have quartz crystals, rose quartz and black tourmaline all around my home and office. 5. HAECKELS, MADE IN MARGATE I particularly love their perfumes: they come in limited batches, are poured in beautiful amber bottles, and bear the GPS coordinates for where the key ingredients were found instead of names. 6. PANTREPANT This is a working farm in Jamaica owned by my friend Chris Blackwell [founder of the UK’s Island Records]. It is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have been. 7. HANS J WEGNER CHAIRS My wood-and-woven dining chairs by the Danish designer are among my favourite pieces in my home. They are so functional yet beautiful. 8. CAMPING Shelter Co make some of the greatest tents out there. They’re easy to pitch, have plenty of room and look pretty, too. 9. BIG SUR, CALIFORNIA I love to go hiking and camping at Big Sur — and when I really want to splurge, I stay at the Post Ranch Inn ( left). 10. SEMI PERMANENT Founder Murray Bell asked me to speak on the future of travel at his event this year as part of Vivid Sydney. It was an amazing experience made more special by our collaboration on the annual book, which you can find in the lobby at Ace Hotel if you didn’t make it to the event.
