“I knew this would be a great ex­er­cise — the shoot re­ally com­ple­mented my style of paint­ing,” says Mel­bourne artist Stephen Baker, who pro­duced an un­ti­tled art­work ( page 39). “I hadn’t re­ally tack­led a tra­di­tional still life, as it were. This is some­thing new and re­fresh­ing for my work prac­tice.” Baker was in­volved in the fash­ion in­dus­try for var­i­ous brands as a graphic artist be­fore fo­cus­ing on his art­work around 12 years ago.
