A creative career was always in the cards for our market editor. “Growing up in a family of artists gave me a deep appreciation for aesthetics... and eccentricity,” says Delprat. She joined VL in 2013 after studying history at university in Sydney. “I find everything inspiring — art, music, fashion, literature, philosophy,” says Delprat. “Studying the arts before interior design grounded everything. I believe knowing the context in which something was created, and the past it references, is more important than ever.” Scouring the depths of the internet and stalking interior designers to find incredible projects is somewhat of an obsession for the stylist and writer.
