RU­RAL City of Wan­garatta coun­cil has urged busi­nesses to take part in a vis­ual mer­chan­dis­ing work­shop held as part of the Small Busi­ness De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram.

The work­shop will be held next Tues­day from 5.30pm to 8.30pm in the Wan­garatta Coun­cil Cham­bers.

Vis­ual mer­chan­diser and de­signer Ching Ching Lee from Pop Cre­ative Col­lec­tive will talk on how to make stores more ap­peal­ing to po­ten­tial cus­tomers and will pro­vide in­spir­ing ideas to help make shopfronts stand out.

Ms Lee is a multi-dis­ci­plined de­signer with a large port­fo­lio of work in­clud­ing strate­gic brand de­vel­op­ment and mar­ket­ing, re­tail plan­ning, im­ple­men­ta­tion of cre­ative mer­chan­dis­ing and store de­sign.

“My key goal is to share the tricks of my trade with small busi­nesses to help them gain more sales and at­ten­tion through the vis­ual ap­peal,” she said.

All staff in busi­nesses rang­ing from re­tail to trade who wish to in­crease their cus­tomer ap­peal and prof­itabil­ity are in­vited to at­tend the work­shop.

Brand de­vel­op­ment, shop frontage, cre­ative mer­chan­dis­ing and win­dow dis­plays are among top­ics to be cov­ered.
