Pop-up li­brary fea­ture at fes­tiv­i­ties

BOOKMARK the dates of May 21 to 27 in the di­ary when li­braries across Aus­tralia will come to­gether to cel­e­brate 2018 Li­brary and In­for­ma­tion Week.

A pop-up li­brary, Na­tional Sto­ry­time and a chance to win a book themed ham­per will all fea­ture as part of Wan­garatta Li­brary’s fes­tiv­i­ties.

Com­mu­nity mem­bers will re­ceive a cof­fee voucher from Hahne’s Kitchen when they visit the pop-up li­brary run­ning out of the kiosk on Reid Street on Tues­day, May 22 from 10am to 1pm.

Hick­ory Dick­ory Dash will fea­ture as this year’s book for Na­tional Si­mul­ta­ne­ous Sto­ry­time, when chil­dren around Aus­tralia gather at li­braries to read through the story at 11am on Wed­nes­day, May 23.

Raise a cup against cancer on Thurs­day, May 24 at 10.30am as part of Aus­tralia’s Big­gest Morn­ing Tea, and stick around for an in­tro­duc­tion to the “Be Con­nected Pro­gram” at 11am where you will learn the es­sen­tial tech skills of liv­ing in a dig­i­tal age.

Any­one who bor­rows a book through­out the week and pro­vides a re­ceipt, or en­ters the com­pe­ti­tion on Face­book will also be in the run­ning to win a ‘book’ themed ham­per.
