Four gen­er­a­tions cel­e­brated a glo­ri­ous day

FOUR gen­er­a­tions of the one fam­ily cel­e­brated Mother’s Day last week.

Jean Drevor was born De­cem­ber 22, 1925 in Cor­ry­ong and moved to Mitta Mitta in 1932 where she went to school be­fore mov­ing to Wan­garatta in 1937 when she was 13.

She met Harry May in Wan­garatta and got mar­ried at the Methodist Church in 1946.

On Novem­ber 28, 1950 Jean gave birth to a daugh­ter Jeanette Esta May at Wan­garatta Base Hos­pi­tal and nine years later a son Harry Ste­wart May was born.

Jeanette grew up in Wan­garatta and went to Wan­garatta South Pri­mary School and Wan­garatta High School.

She met Robert Dorsett (Bob) in 1964 and the cou­ple were mar­ried in 1966 at Wan­garatta Catholic Church.

On May 3, 1968 Jeanette gave birth to a daugh­ter Ch­eryle Anne fol­lowed a year later by the birth of an­other daugh­ter Dianne.

Ch­eryle and Dianne did a lot of their grow­ing up in Al­bion Park NSW where they went to pri­mary school and half of their sec­ondary school ed­u­ca­tion.

Jeanette and Bob moved around quite a bit over the years for work, fi­nally set- tling in Lav­ing­ton.

In 1984 they moved back to Wan­garatta and in 1986 Ch­eryle met Dwayne Bram­b­ley.

They were mar­ried in 1990 at the Wan­garatta Catholic Church and on July 29, 1993 Ch­eryle gave birth to a son Daryl James Bram­b­ley, fol­lowed two years later by their daugh­ter Vanessa Anne Bram­b­ley.

Daryl and Vanessa grew up in Wan­garatta at­tend­ing Wan­garatta West Pri­mary School and Wan­garatta High School.

All the fam­ily mem­bers con­tinue to live in Wan­garatta, ex­cept for Jeanette who re­sides in Lav­ing­ton.

MUM’S THE WORD: Great grand­mother Jean Drevor, her daugh­ter Jeanette Dorsett, Jeanette’s daugh­ter Ch­eryle Bram­b­ley and Ch­eryle’s daugh­ter Vanessa Bram­b­ley.
