Points breach by Rutherglen
RUTHERGLEN Football Netball Club has been found in breach of the AFL Victoria Player Points System from its round two match against Mitta United on April 14.
The AFL NEB commission considered the case this week with the Cats found to have selected a team, which included a player who had been applied the incorrect points value.
When this was corrected, it took the Cats’ points tally to 42, two over the maximum of 40 allowed in the competition.
Rutherglen has received a suspended $500 fine, however, it has also lost the four premiership points and score from its win over Mitta United.
