Emergency services come together for expo
New review puts turf club at risk
THE town of Moyhu will be busy with horses, trucks and emergency service personnel this Saturday as services from all across North East Victoria come together for the 2018 emergency services expo.
Carina Heppell from Wodonga SES has organised the event to be aimed at smaller rural communities to see what’s available, education for communities, networking for agencies, and a chance for emergency service personnel to see what the community interests and concerns are.
“The 2016 expo was a great success, and this year we’re expecting 1000 people to attend,” she said.
“The event will also fundraise for Moyhu and the funds will go towards the Moyhu group brigade.”
The event will include 23 organisations and clubs from across North East Victoria, police horses, Country Fire Authority (CFA) trucks, mobile command vehicles, a raffle, and kids activities.
The event is a non-alcoholic event, a waste free event, and Carina asks for the only animals to be service animals.
The expo will be held this Saturday from 10am-2pm at the Moyhu Recreation Reserve with gold coin donation entry.
