Weekly chook run kicks off to­day at the golf club

LEARN the ba­sics of golf, have fun and ex­er­cise with friends when the Whit­field and Dis­trict Golf Club holds its sec­ond free ladies golf clinic this Satur­day.

The clinic will start at

MYRRHEE chef Paul Koulis is call­ing for vol­un­teers to es­tab­lish a sub-com­mit­tee for a fundrais­ing event to raise money to up­grade the façade at the Myrrhee Sol­diers Memo­rial Hall.

The Greek themed din­ner “A Taste Of Greece” will be held on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 1 and any­body in­ter­ested in help­ing with event plan­ning, food prepa­ra­tion or serv­ing is en­cour­aged to at­tend a meet­ing be­ing held to­mor­row night at 7pm at the hall in Myrrhee.

THE Green Thumbs Gar­den Group will hold their next get to­gether to­mor­row at the gar­den of Lor­raine and Graeme Vin­cent, lo­cated at 49 Reilly Lane in Ox­ley.

The group will meet at 10am (byo cof­fee mug) with more in­for­ma­tion avail­able by call­ing Lyn on 5729 8383.

MOYHU and Dis­trict Preschool and Oc­ca­sional Care in­vite the com­mu­nity to at­tend their 40th birth­day cel­e­bra­tion on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 20 from 12pm un­til 2pm at the Moyhu Preschool.

Short speeches recog­nis­ing the mile­stone will kick off around 12.15pm be­fore the cut­ting of the birth­day cake.

Share mem­o­ries with fel­low past stu­dents, teach­ers, fam­i­lies and friends of the pop­u­lar cen­tre which has been part of the com­mu­nity for decades.
