Our Vision for the Club is to be a Major Thoroughbred Training, Equine Education, Racing and Entertainment Centre for Regional Victoria. Next week when we officially open our new facilities, we will take a giant leap forward as we work towards this vision.

The Wangaratta Turf Club is here for our community. We provide a training base for more than 600 horses annually, offering employment within our region for more than 450 people which contributes $35 million to our regional economy annually.

As a not for profit community group, we partner with many community organisations and have provided fundraising and support of more than $400,000 in value over the last 5 years. This has benefited many groups including Northeast Health Wangaratta, University of the 3rd Age, NESAY, Apex Traffic School, Diabetes Victoria, Love your Sister and Cystic Fibrosis Victoria to name a few.

We thank all levels of government for their support in making this happen. Federal Coalition Government, State Labor Government and the Rural City of Wangaratta all played a significant role in this, with special thanks to Senator Bridget McKenzie, Minister for Racing Martin Pakula, Minister for Regional Victoria Jaala Pulford, Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes, and local member Tim McCurdy.

We know this new look facility will be of major benefit to the community for many years to come and we invite you, our community to attend an upcoming race day, be involved with a function or event or get along to our grand opening next Thursday evening.

We know you will be as proud as we are in the new look Wangaratta Turf Club.
