Bells note con­cern for kids

THE bells at Wan­garatta’s Holy Trin­ity Cather­dral tolled at noon last Fri­day, to sound com­mu­nity con­cern for the safety and well­be­ing of 52 asy­lum seeker chil­dren who re­main ef­fec­tively de­tained on Nauru.

The Cathe­dral will do sim­i­lar each Fri­day un­til Uni­ver­sal Chil­dren’s Day on Novem­ber 20, the date by which 300 or­gan­i­sa­tions, in­clud­ing Ru­ral Aus­tralians for Refugees, are work­ing to per­suade fed­eral Par­lia­men­tar­i­ans to bring #Kid­sOf­fNauru.
