In the 16 and under boys two long term members Lachlan Carboon and Samuel Berenger celebrated their first club championship win with some very hard fought tiebreaker wins in the early rounds and saved match points against them in the semi before defeating Fraser Holland-Dean and Josh Campbell in the final.

The 16 and under girls was a different story with Beth Cope and Meg Allan dominating their opponents with runners-up Sara Cope and Chloe Cooper also playing strong tennis on the morning.

Equally dominant in the very large 14 and under girls section were Sarah Henderson and Tamara Scott.

Ruby Rigoni and Lauren McInnes were the best of the 12 other pairs to finish runners-up.

In the 10 and under sections many players were participating in their first club championship event.

Their closest match was a high standard affair against eventual runners-up Hugh Canning and Bay Pellegrino.

Harry White and Charlie Holland-Dean won the 14 and under boys only losing a couple of games for the day in a match against the runners-up Mitchell Hobbs and Henry Finlayson.

12 and under girls was the final event and Bailey Leavett-Brown and Jess McInness defeated Maddy Walker and Rose Henry to take out the championship.

Winners from Saturday’s aggregate competition were: Marley Carmody, Jasmine Scott, Jake Hamilton, Sam Berenger, Sienna Koop, Nick Kjar, Zara Paton, Sarah Henderson, Dakota LeavettBrown, Levi Lyster, Anthony Metcalf, Beth Cope, Charlie Holland-Dean, Sophie Patton, Alice Kjar, and a three way tie between Tamara Scott, Millie Carson and Ruby Rigoni.

With hot weather forecast for this Saturday players are reminded to slip, slop slap and bring a bottle of water.
