Preg­nant mum, tod­dler walk away from car roll over

A PREG­NANT mother and her three year old daugh­ter es­caped from a crash with mi­nor cuts and abra­sions at Tar­rawingee yes­ter­day af­ter­noon.

Wan­garatta CFA fire of­fi­cer Zak Fran­cis said the wo­man was driv­ing the ve­hi­cle along Wan­garatta-Beech­worth Road at 1.05pm when it ap­pears she lost con­trol on a bend.

“The car has rolled over and the oc­cu­pants were able to be freed from the ve­hi­cle,” Mr Fran­cis said.

“Emer­gency ser­vices at­tended the scene in­clud­ing Wan­garatta and Tar­rawingee CFA bri­gade mem­bers and the lo­cal SES unit.

The preg­nant mother and her daugh­ter were con­veyed to Wan­garatta Base Hospi­tal for med­i­cal ob­ser­va­tion.
