LOVE MY MERRIWA

Wanneroo Times - - Opinion -

I KNOW Merriwa (and surrounds) has a poor reputation, but I really quite like my suburb.

More and more I see children playing outside together, dogs frolicking on their daily walks, houses being improved and people tending their gardens.

There's a 'succulent patch' I drive past most mornings that always makes me smile.

It doesn't matter if it's the local shop, chemist or bottle-o, the customer service is exceptional; we know our manners. My parents socialise with neighbours in their street and I know all of mine.

Just putting it out there for all the critics. Merriwa is bloody awesome for a 'less desirable' suburb.

It's full of good people having a decent crack at creating a unique community.

Thanks my Merriwa peeps. SANDRA DOWN, Merriwa.
