GET IN WRITING

Wanneroo Times - - Opinion -

FURTHER to my concerns regarding house and contents insurance on timber and asbestos homes.

Firstly, I am very close to being a 50-year member of my insurance company, RAC. I have now written two polite letters to them requesting a reply in writing that I am fully covered and not caught short like the family from South Yunderup before Christmas last year.

After patiently waiting for weeks at time of writing I have been ignored and received no reply to my mail. I was so concerned that I finished up ringing the insurance department of the RAC and was told by a young office worker I was fully covered. I have recorded the person, time and date of this phone call but it's not as secure as a written reply.

Phone calls can be changed or denied. I would suggest you now make your own Inquiries through your own insurances companies for peace of mind. CHARLIE GIBSON, Falcon.
