Hockey club ups sticks to new fa­cil­ity

WHIT­FORD Hockey Club is pre­par­ing to move from Mac­Don­ald Re­serve in Pad­bury to the new Warwick Hockey Cen­tre.

The $6.5 mil­lion fa­cil­ity at Warwick Open Space in­cludes one syn­thetic and two grass pitches, a 250-seat func­tion room with bar fa­cil­i­ties, com­mer­cial kitchen and a mer­chan­dise store to be run by re­cently re­tired Kook­aburra and five-times In­ter­na­tional Player of the Year Jamie Dwyer.

The club plans to move to the fa­cil­ity early in the win­ter sea­son. Un­til then, it is host­ing a club reg­is­tra­tion day at Mac­Don­ald Re­serve this Satur­day from 11am to 2pm.
