LESS than six months after finishing high school, a Yanchep teenager has launched his own business, Air Wings Watches.

Ishaan Bhatia (18) said his passion for watches and aviation inspired him to create the brand, with the first range released in April after a year of planning.

“I started the business when I was in Year 12 during school,” the former Greenwood College student said.

“I have always wanted to start my own business after being inspired by my grandfather and father.

“After a year of planning, designing and consistent negotiation whilst battling my final exams, Air Wings element range was released.

“Pilot watches have always been a love of mine since I started flying at the age of 14.”

“Air Wings Australia was registered on my 18th birthday.”

Mr Bhatia said he did the aviation program at Greenwood College and had flown several aircraft around WA.

Since finishing school, he has worked fulltime to fund the business venture.

The watches, which have leather straps and stainless steel straps, are made in Hong Kong.
